In the will of William CORNELIUS, (d. 1842 Blount Co., AL), there is mention of John CALLISON. "to my son Moses CORNELIUS fifty dollars cash in hand and a note for five hundred and fifty dollars Executed to me by John G. CALLISON due December 25, 1834...."

Could this be John Gillespie CALLISON? Do you have any info on a connection between these two families?

Several CORNELIUS family members went to Texas, also.
