Callahan/Cullinan, Patrick 1870-79 North Adams, Massachusetts

My Great Grandfather was Patrick Cullinan (I think) and he was born in Ireland abt. 1850. He died in North Adams, Massachusetts on October 2, 1879 and on his death certificate it list his parents as Michael Cullinan and Katherine (maiden name not given).
Here is my problem, we are not sure if it is Callahan that we are looking for or Cullinan. It could have been a case of pronounciation in 1870 and Cullinan came out as Callahan.
Patrick Cullinan/CALLAHAN married on June 15, 1876 in North Adams, Massachusetts to Mary Hanley the daughter of Peter Hanley and Susan Gill. The marriage Certificate at City Hall has it has Patrick CALLAHAN and Mary Hanley. On June 7, 1879 my Grandfather John (thier only son) was born and on June 8, 1879 he was baptized. The baptism record has the names as Patrick Cullinan, Mary Hanley, and John Cullinan.
Patrick died in an accident on October 2, 1879 and his death certificate has him as Patrick CALLAHAN. The following year in 1880 when the Federal Census came out the name is listed as CALLAHAN in the North Adams census along with several other CALLAHAN families that were living there.
In 1907 a Deposition was filed by the family in North Adams to correct errors/error on the original death record of Patrick in 1879. The name CALLAHAN was crossed off in the book and CULLINAN was entered. For those who decend from Patrick the name still remains Cullinan today.
In North Adams, Massachusetts from around 1850 there was another Patrick CALLAHAN that was born in Ireland in 1810. He raised his family in North Adams and they were one of the families listed in the 1880 Census. In theory I suspected this Patrick as being an uncle to my Great Grandfather Patrick CALLAHAN/CULLINAN.
I thank everyone in advance for any help offered. It would be nice to know if it is CALLAHAN or CULLINAN that I'm chasing after.
