Hi, JL;
There is a pretty high probability that anyone surnamed Calkins (with numerous spelling variations)born around that area at that time is a descendant of immigrants Hugh and Ann Calkins.
After that, however, I cannot help much. The database of the Calkins Family Association has listed several Eleazer Calkinses, but none born in 1819, and none shown to have married any Hovey girl. I will look oversome other information, and if i can help at all, I will let you know.
