David: The George Wesley Calhoun that we have, married a Mary Elizabeth Riddle (we have their marriage cert.) in Rockingham Co., Virginia in Oct.7,1851, and their children were ALL born in that same county.
Hmm, coincidence? 1825 birth for yours, and we only have an appx. 1824 birth for ours?
We don't think they would have traveled from Mo. to VA. that much between kids births, back then anyway. Maybe tho.
We can't find any birth, or death records fro our George Wesley Calhoun. His father Lt. George CALHOON (Susan Cotton), pension records show his name spelling with a OON. We have G.W.Calhoun's marriage cert. showing CALHOUN. We have all of their children, George Wesley & M.Elizabeth Riddle, records. Our line goes to their son Tavener (T.A.) Calhoun.
Any info would be greatly appreciated if you come across something. Even if it seems like a fluke. This man had to exist SOMEWHERE?
Thanks David.
Sincerely,
Craig M. Calhoun
