Owen,
With regard to the old Calhoun graveyard near Dixonville, I have never been there and the only information I have is from Carl Penton, whose name you may have seen on GenForum.You can find his information on;
http://www.genealogylinks.net/usa/florida/santa_rosa.htmhttp://www.genealogylinks.net/usa/florida/santa_rosa.htm
and then select "tombstone transcription project" and look for the Old Calhoun Cemetery.
If you have troublejust go on Google and type in Santa Rosa County Florida Genealogy and you can get to the site.Carl has recorded the dates for many graves in that cemetery including Noah Calhoun, born (1765) and died (1847) and his wife Elizabeth Anne "Baggett" (born 1780 and died 1829).
My mother is 90 years young and still has a very sharp and clear mind and excellent memory. Her mother was a Calhoun and we had already planned on visiting the cemetery during my next visit to Pensacola, probably within a few months.To my understanding it is surrounded by private land and you have to gain permission to enter.
I have spent the last several years doing genealogy on my fathers family but I do have some information for my mother's side (Calhoun's and McArthur's).I would love to talk with you about the Calhouns', especially Noah and the other Calhouns in the Dixonville area.
I have also sent you an email directly which I hope you receive.
Best Wishes,
Ron Wilson
