I have just started to officially map out my Calhoun ancestors and have run across a road block.
I have read on this forum that my ancestor Samuel Daniel Calhoun has a father named William S Calhoun (married to Hungerford-Smith) and that his father was Adam Calhoun, Jr who's father was Adam Calhoun, Sr.
My research online contradicts this information, by having William S Calhoun's father as Charles Calhoun married to Mary Jane Wilson!!
Any info would be great!! Also, how do you find out which source is the most reliable?
