Hi, Owen!
I think we have been in contact with each other before. I put my Calhouns on the back burner for awhile and have just recently been on their trail again.

My g-g-g-g grandfather was Archibald Colquhoun (Calhoun) b. in Scotland d. 5 Sept 1839, Talbot, GA. He came from Scotland with 5 or 6 other Colquhouns to NC in 1790. The rest of my line is Archibald's son Dougal b. 1802 > Daniel Green Calhoun b. 1836 d. 1915 > Dougal G. Calhoun > Howard Dougal Calhoun b. 13 Jan 1892 d. 20 Feb 1961.

I was wondering if Archibald's parents were listed in your books?

Another Calhoun is searching for his line: g-g-g grandfather was James Calhoun b. 1798 Cumberland Co.,NC, g-g grandfather James A. Calhoun b. 1836 NC and great grandfather John Archie Calhoun b. 1864 in NC, Cumberland Co. Rockfish. He does not know who the father of James b. 1798 could be. I have been trying to find a connection but can't.

Could you help us? Did you see the site I posted Dec. 2oo7 for the Portrait of James Colquhoun c. 17th century?

Hope to hear from you!
Sherry
