I am seeking contact with any descendants of Elijah Jackson Calhoun and Amy C. Sexton in an effort to verify and/or add to the following info:
Elijah "Lige/Lyge" Jackson Calhoun was born 28 FEB 1881 [World War II Registration Card] and died 12 JUL 1972 Sylvester, Worth Co., GA [Georgia Death Index], son of Mack T. Calhoun and Anna E. (unknown). He married Amy/Annie 'Amy Jack' C. Sexton 7 AUG 1910 Worth Co., GA. [Source: Worth County Marriage Records by Max Tatum]. She was born c1894 and died 30 OCT 1957 age 63, Worth Co., GA [Georgia Death Index].
Children of Elijah Calhoun and Amy Sexton are:
i. Elijah Jackson Calhoun, Jr. was born 11 MAR 1912 in Georgia and died JAN 1980 Decatur, Dekalb Co., GA.
ii. Bennie E. Calhoun was born 9 NOV 1916 in Georgia and died 17 SEP 1995 Macon, Bibb Co., GA.
iii. Eugene P. Calhoun was born 27 JUN 1919 in Georgia and died NOV 1981 in Florida.
iv. Amy Kathleen Calhoun was born OCT 1923 in Florida. She married Ennis “Mack” McClellan Fletcher, Jr. 2 MAR 1945 in Dougherty Co. GA. He was born 12 AUG 1924 and died 13 JUN 1992 Quintman, Brooks Co., GA.
v. William W. Calhoun was born 1926 in Florida [World War II Enlistment Registration].
Amy's sister was Jane 'Janie' Love Sexton born 31 AUG 1896 Sylvester, Worth Co., GA and died 2 SEP 1975 Front Royal, VA, buried Stevensburg Baptist Church Cemetery, Stevensburg, Culpeper Co., VA. She married Dr. James Lawrence Stringfellow, MD 20 SEP 1919 (probably) in Waynesville, Haywood Co., NC.
