Hi Pamela, it is great to hear from you!Yes, I phoned your mother about a year ago.I ended up speaking with (your Aunt?) Margaret Calhoun Denis, and her husband shared much of the family tree. However, he did not speak of the map you mention, which sounds intriguing.
My great-grandfather James Murray Calhoun (1831-1902) was first cousin to your ancestor, the first Alvin Edgar Calhoun.I have recently found more information on our common ancestor, Chauncey Calhoun, Sr. which I am happy to share if you like.
I am actually visiting my parents in NJ and returning to MA today. We just found some more old photos, including one of my great uncle George Byron Calhoun taken in 1870.I will copy them for the family and send some copies of the old portraits to you if you are interested.
Please email me at [email protected] am hoping the photos (we have many) will interest your mother.
Best regards,
Roberta D. Calhoun
