Does anyone know the parents of Mary Caldwell
born in Pittsylvania Co., VA and died in 1801? She married James or John S. Waltrip about 1790. He died 1819 in Lebanon, R., VA.
Mary's grandson was in the Guiness Book of World Records as the World's tallest man. It seems this man had a rare x-linked genetic
disorder. Another nearby man of the same sur-name and time period also seems to have
had the genetic disorder. The tallest man's death certificate says his mother Sarah, daughter of Mary Caldwell, was born in England. Any responses appreciated.
