Looking for anyone who may have information on my ggggrandmother, Evaline Calmes McIntire, b. 1834 Perry County, KY (m. Robert B. McIntire, b, 1844) of Lee County, Evelyn, KY and information on her parents. Her death certificate shows her father as being George Calmes of Woodford County, Ky and her mother as Elizabeth Colwell (birth unknown). She had 2 sisters, Sarah Ann Calmes McKinney (b, 1833 Breathitt Co.,Ky, m.James B McKinney) and Minerva Calmes (b.abt 1838). I am unable to verify the information I have found on thier mother. Family records indicate her name was Esther Caldwell and she married a William C Reed of Estill County KY. An 1850 Estill County Census shows Evaline and Minerva living with an Easter Reed and William Reed and the girls have taken the name of Reed. I have seen Elizabeth's name as both Esther and Easter. I am very interested interested in finding out more about Elizabeth and who were her parents. If anyone has any information on these people, I may be reached at gliv@bellsouth.net
