I have since this last posting found out Phebe's parents were Julia Ann HALL and George CALDWELL (also seen spelled as CALWELL, COLWELL & COLWILL). Julia had either been born in NY or NJ, abt. 1823. George had been born in IRE abt. 1819. Their children included: Phebe (b. 1844, marr. John WATTS and moved to OH abt. 1872), Thomas (b. 1847), Joseph (b. 1848), Emily (b. 1849, marr. Jacob PATTERSON, resided in Burford in Brant co.), Elizabeth (b. 1852), William G. (b. 1854), Charles J. (b. 1859), Albert (b. 1863), and Julia Ann (b. 1865, marr. Smith MULHOLLAND and moved to OH abt. 1903). The children were all born in the Norfolk and Haldimand county areas. The parents later moved to Beverly twp. in Wentworth co. Julia d. in 1893 and I believe George d. in 1897. Both are buried in the Troy Cemetery. Family rumors say at least a couple of the other sons also moved to the states, possibly to MI. I am descended from Phebe's lineage; would love to touch base with descendents of the other siblings to trade info/pictures.
