Have not found wife of Thomas Caldwell after searching all local records I know of. All I have is one page of info. from an older relative who is deceased. She states Thomas wife buried in Strickland cemetary in Abbeville Co. S.C.. I have not found a Strickland cemetary in Abbeville or surrounding counties. I have Thomas age 40, his sons, William J.(my gr-grandfather) age 14 and John age 12, 1850 census Talladega,Ala, living in separate households. Willwim J. later returned to S.C., John was in same household (E. W.Porter) 1860. Nothing more on Thomas after 1850. Thomas was in household of Alexander Porter 1850.
