Dina my husband is a direct descendant of Samuel Caldwell
and Mary coy through their son Samuel who m.Louisa SWITZER
who lived and died in McAlester, Ok.Can bring you forward
and back on this line.Samuel Caldwell Sr.s father was
William Ezekiel Caldwell and Sarah Shanklin.Check postings
on genforum under my son Charles L. Caldwell Jr. to go back
on this line.We knew John Wood went back to Mo. but did
not know Mary went there too.We have been told that John
Caldwell brother to Mary died during the civil war and
fought for the north do you know if this is true or what
happened to him? What unit did he fight in do you know.Mary
Coy supposedly died about 1863 can you confirm?Do you
know anything about Mary Woods brothers and sisters what
happened to them.I know who them married and that is about
it except for Minnie who m. wilkerson and has a daughter
who is still living in winters, tx.We have Samuel sr. 1870
census Hopkins co. tx.No wife listed.Do you know when
and where he died?Have never really found anything on Mary
Coys mother and father. Was the name of the plantation in
Alabama Whitehall?
