I am Henry Mason Calderwood's great-grandson and cousin to Colleen Blanton.I think I have figured out the other Calderwood brothers in the picture.I used the dates from the Chenoweth website(chenowethsite.com) to put together my hypothesis. So here it goes. The picture of John Alfred and his wife looks like it was taken about the same time as the brothers' picture based on his appearance. That would have the picture taken sometime around 1880 because we know that John and Susan were married Dec. 16, 1880.Okay, now for the part that was stumping everyone. Why were there only 4 brothers in the photograph when we know that there were 5 brothers (at one time 6 with Lawson who died when he was 2 in 1848).Then I noticed the William, the oldest brother, died at the age of 24 on Feb. 2, 1862. So that would leave 4 brothers. Then from the photograph it is easy to determine that the one on the left is Alexander, the oldest brother living at the time, age 40.The one on the right looks the youngest who would be James H.,26.The leaves the one in the center standing to be Henry Mason my great-grandfather.He also looks a lot like my brother. Also if the girl in the photo isa Calderwood sister, it would have to be Nannie who would be somewhere around 24 years old in 1880 because the only other sister Martha died in 1870 at the age of 18.Well, that is my hypothesis.By the way, is there any way I could get a copy of the photograph?
