Nancy, I just saw your post. I thought Jane Calder, who married Phillip Vermilyea, might have been the daug. of a James Calder, wife Margaret of Kortright, Delaware, NY.He died about 1801 in Kortright, Margaret ca 1810. James and Margaret had a daug. Fanny Caulder who md. Francis O'Connor II. In your research, did you ever come across my Calder family? A descendant thinks our Calders (who were from the Highlands of Scotland) might have been from Gordon Castle, Morayshire, Scotland. Any clues you could give me, would be greatly appreciated. My James Calder was not the one who owned the mill, I discovered. There are more than one in Delaware Co. NY. Please email me at perh3976@comcast.net or nereid98@gmail.com. Thanks very much. Sincerely Steve Hall
My Calders are really hiding from me, unfortunately.
