Hi again, The more I go over my information the more confused I get. The ages I have throughout my research on Horatio and Nancy vary. I have Horatio as born abt 1806, RRS and Nancy abt 1810, NWT. The 1850, Washington County, Oregon Territory census lists both as being 30 years old. Maybe I am incorrect on the 1860, Steilacoom, Pierce County, Washington census as being the same family, but what I thought was Horatio's family is Family number 687: Thos. Fussey, 27, Male, England; Francis Ross, 19, Male, B.N.A. (B.S.A.?) A.N. Colden, (Colder ?), 55, Male, " " " H.N. " 45, Female, " " " Charles " 12, Male, Oregon So, what I had assumed to be the correct family, I figured the person taking the census mixed up names and spelled the surname incorrect as well as Horatio and Nancy's ages. The 1880 census for Charles which lists his mother Nancy as being 83 at that time. It does list Nancy as Mother. But, your right about the age differences. The age listed doesn't match the correct age for Horatio's mother but then it's not correct either for Nancy Lindsay. As for Nancy Lindsay, I have never found anything that led me to believe she came to the United States at any time. If you can make any sense out of what I have just written or if you manage to figure this mess out, let me know. I would very much like to understand this myself.
