I'm sorry to say that I know nothing of John Calder's parentaqge. He married Margaret McLeod in Swordale, Creich, in 1825 and immigrated to Canada in 1832. They are buried in N. Embro Cemetery in Oxford Co., Ontario. His graqvestone states that he died July 12, 1884, aged 83 years and 7 months, making his birthyear 1800. Margaret died June 9, 1877, aged 75 years, making her birthyear 1802. If you find you are connected to this family, I would be happy to share information with you. Regards, Diane Geddes
