Hello Annemarie,
My name is Natalie Alvarado (nee Calder). My grandfather was Archibald Lister Calder (he went by the name of Lister) who resided in Bluefields/ Pinnock Shafston Jamaica, West Indies.I believe he died in 1972in Jamaica. He fathered 4 children with my grandmother Stella Billings (they were never married). Leslie (b. a Jamaica, lives in Rochester NY), Phyllis (b. jamaica, deceased 1972), Olga Bromfield (b. jamaica, lives in New York, NY), and my father Dennis (b. 1927) (still lives in Jamaica, but has Alzheimer's and is unable to give me any family info).I believe that this is the same Archibald Lister in your posting. He also fatheredan younger set of children (with a woman named Cook)Margery Smith (Davie, Florida) , Dorothy Mafood (Ft. Lauderdale, Florida), Kenneth (Scotland), Roy (Windsor, Ontario, Canada), Jean Lord(Windsor, Ontario, Canada).
To see photos of the house in which Archibald Lister lived, the Shafston Great House near Bluefields, Jamaica visit the link www.shafston.com.At the Bluefields Anglican Church (near the Great House) there is a baptismal font with the name Daniel Sinclair engraved on the base.
As far as I can recall, there is a family graveyard on the property and I believe that my grandfather was buried there. The property is now a bed & breakfast and is no longer in the family.
Hope to be in touch -- Natalie ([email protected])
