I realize it is 3 years since your message was posted, but I am reasonably new to this game and just read it. Found your factoids very interesting. My gggrandparents George Calder and Jane Milne were from Keith, Banffshire, emigrated to Canada (first New Brunswick, then to Quebec) in @1832. I know very little else about their life in Scotland, and not a lot more about their life here, but would be interested in any other tidbits.
