My great grandfather George Calder's parents were unmarried when he was born in 1859. His mother was Elizabeth Younie and according to his birth certificate and a deed of paternity his father was a David Calder.Elizabeth later went on to marry John Alexander in 1874. David was a labourer and railway surfaceman at the time of my gt. grandfathers birth, residing in Aberlour Scotland. The paternity deed was dated 1871 at the Court in Caithness. As I do not know any more about David ( eg his age or his place of birth) my search is at an end to follow the Calder "tree" so any help or information would be greatfully appreciated.
