The year of birth I think is correct. he was born in Latheron, Caithness his father's name was James Calder but I have no info of him. Benjamin married Isabella Polson and they had children by the names of Ann Calder who married Donald Sutherland, John Calder, Elizabeth Calder and Margaret Calder. They are in the 1881 census in Scotland but after that they disapear, all but Ann. Can anyone enlighten me as to where they went or if they are connected with your family tree in some way.
