William Lowrie Calder b. abt. 1830, and his wife Joan Steadman (or Steedman, Stedman) b. abt 1827. Their children were: John b. March 8, 1854; William Lowrie b. November 24, 1855; Peter Simpson b. November 24, 1855; Grace b. January 16, 1858; Agnes b. December 15, 1859; and Margaret Harvey b. February 26, 1862.

John Calder b. March 8, 1854, and his wife Sarah McRae b. abt 1853. Their children were: Catherine b. abt. 1876; William Lowrie b. April 16, 1877; John (my grandfather) b.
