My Calders include an Alexander Calder whose family consisted of his father, James Calder and his mother, Jane Meyers. She was the daughter of Henry Meyers and Mary Carr. The children (birth order) of James Calder and Mary Car are: Henry M. Calder, James Ratliff Calder, Susan Proudfoot Calder, Mary Timmons Calder, Elizabeth Jane Calder 1822-1897,* (my gggrandmother), Eveline Car Calder and Stephen Alexander Calder, 1827-1902.
The Calder's are a proud family having fought for this country in the Battle of Bloody Marsh (Georgia); They also went on the expedition against St. Augustine in 1741. I am interested in finding more information on this family. Please e-mail me, Pat Pate at p.e.p@mindspring.com
