Karen Small came up with some great information showing that my
gggrandfather, James Carey Calder (bapt. 26June1843, LDS IGI Record), was
apparently the illegitimate son of James Carey and Helen Calder. Thus, I
am now looking for the parents of Helen Calder (and James Carey) who had
James. Any help in finding the names of Helen's and James Carey's parents
will be appreciated. One geneology lists Helen with Alexander Calder's family. Most likely because James is listed with his widowed grandmother in the 1851 Campobello Census.
