Catherine Calary

Looking for information on Catherine Calary. She was the wife of Matthew McCann of Stockport, England, and born between 1809-13.

According to her son Mark's marriage cert., both Catherine, and her husband were born in Ireland, but there is a small concentration of Calary surnames just north of Stockport, so it is possible she was born and/or married in England.

She left England with her son Mark (b. Stockport 1832-4), and arrived on the "Ocean Chief" in Victoria, Australia in Nov. 1859.

Mark became a gold miner in Beechworth, Australia, married, and left Australia with a wife and 2 children; arriving in Boston, MA, USA in Sept 1866. Catherine (Calary) McCann either died, or remained behind.

Any B-M-D or Census records in Ireland, England, or Australia would be appreciated.
