Hi, Martha-- although I'd like to think that all we Caseys are "cousins" at least in spirit, I'm not positive from your information posted here that your line is connected to mine. (Do you have further detail as to time frames?)
The John Casey who was my ggg-grandfather was probably born before or abt 1780 and married Elizabeth Pace. Their son John A. Casey b. abt 1807 GA, moved back and forth between GA, AL, and MS; however, his wife's name was Emily. They had a son, John M. Casey (on 1850 MS census). I currently have no further information about John M. except he appears to have been born about 1838 in Ala. (prob. Benton Co.), according to 1850 census.
Some of the Casey and Crow lines were connected. At this point I don't know if they're related to my line, since it's difficult to prove. Good luck with your search, we all need it!As you can imagine, there's no shortage of John Caseys, which makes it a challenge. - Joyce
