hello, i have come to a brick wall in regards to this branch of my family and hoping someone here can help. is anyone related to a mary ann or anne stokoe who married john cairns (aka sandy cairns). our family stories tell us that mary was from a well to do family and fell out of grace with them when she fell in love with john, of lower birth. they settled in south shields, but i believe mary was not originally from there, john may have been. hoping someone can claim the name and give me more info, please.
