Hello;
My name is Dave Caines and I am originally from Rencontre East, Fortune Bay, Nfld.
My research has given me the following information on my family.
My grandfathers' name was Thomas Gabriel Caines and wife was Phoebe Ann Savoury.
My g.g. grandfathers' name was George Caines and his wife's name was Elizabeth Kinsella or Kinsley(?),not quite sure.
Their place of residence was Doctor's Harbour,Fortune Bay, Nfld.
This place is about 10 miles from Rencontre East.
My Dad is Clyde Caines and he has told me that his grandfather George Caines was from England, but he is not sure where.
I am wondering if anyone can help me extend my research and connect George Caines with any other Caines's from Nfld. or abroad.
George and Elizabeth are both buried in Lally Cove,Fortune Bay,Nfld. deceased in early 1900's.
