No, I haven't found any information on Daniel. The only information I have is on my grgrgrandfather and his children. Sometime after 1850 the family left Virginia and moved to Illinois, where John and Elizabeth Cain lived until their death. My great grandfather, Charles Cain, married and moved into Kansas. Actually, that's how I found John and Elizabeth Cain. I requested a copy of the marriage license for Charles and Emma Martin and bless the clerk's heart, when she mailed it to me she had also copied a small piece of torn paper where John and Elizabeth Cain gave their permission for their son, Charles, to get married! I just keep hoping I will find John's parents and/or his siblings. John Cain lived near an E.W. Cain in Edgar County, Illinois but I can't connect them. E.W. Cain wasn't from VA - I can't remember where he was born now. Since your Cains and mine were originally O'Cains, maybe there is a connection somewhere.
My direct line of Cains ended up in Oklahoma, where I live.
Alice
