Hi, Nancy!
Henry did, indeed, have a brother, James KILLMAN - he's my brick wall.Well, I do think I've gone one generation beyond James, but am still trying to substantiate that.
I show the parents of Henry and James D. KILLMAN to be Henry Sr. and Phereby Jean BLYTHE KILLMAN.But I only have census data to base that on, so far.I can't figure out who Henry Sr.'s parents are - there are a few Henry KILLMANs b. abt about 1821, and I'm short a set of parents for one of them ;-)that one being "my" Henry.
Here's the census data I have on Henry, Sr.:
1850 - I don't know where he is.
1860 Overton Co. Census in District 4, household #:
Henry Killman age 38 KY
Feriby J. age 35 Ky
Dathnel (f) age 17 Ky
Feriby age 14 Ky
Theresa age 12 TN
James D. age 10 TN
Henry W. age 7 TN
Siby A. age 4 TN
Newton age 2 TN
# 1677of the same district:
Wesley Killman age 39 farmer, TN
Sarah age 45 TN
Mary A. age 18
George age 15
Henry age 11
James M, age 6
1870 Kettle Creek District, Cumberland Co., KY
23 24 Killman, H49 M W Farmer KY
Pheriba 30 F W KY
Marshall 15 M W KY
Sally 12 F W KY
Thomas 10 M W KY
Onsolo 8 M W KY
1880 - can't find Henry or Phereby - there are two Henry's, but I think I've accounted for them in other households - There's Scott, Taney, Missouri Page 232C
Henry KILMAN Self M M W 56 KY Fa: VA Mo: IN
Susan R. KILMAN Wife F M W 54 KY Occ: Keeping House Fa: KY Mo: KY ... and a couple children and some Markwell "others", but this is Henry KILLMAN who married Susan R. HOPPER; I believe this family is in Monroe Co., KY in 1860 and 1870
Then there's Coldwell, White, Arkansas Page 134A
Henry KILLMAN Self M M W 56 KY Occ: Farmer Fa: NC Mo: NC
Elizabeth KILLMAN Wife F M W 43 TN Occ: Keeping House Fa: NC Mo: NC
Thomas L. KILLMAN Son M W 17 AR Fa: KY Mo: TN
John J. KILLMAN Son M W 15 AR Fa: KY Mo: TN
James R. KILLMAN Son M S W 13 AR Fa: KY Mo: TN
Susan E. KILLMAN Dau F S W 9 AR Fa: KY Mo: TN
William F. KILLMAN Son M S W 7 AR Fa: KY Mo: TN
Andrew J. KILLMAN Son M S W 5 AR Fa: KY Mo: TN
Ruth R. KILLMAN Dau F S W 2 AR Fa: KY Mo: TN
But this is the Henry that married 1) Frankie HOPPER and 2) Elizabeth COX
So I can't figure out why Henry Sr. and Phereby aren't in the 1880 census. For that matter, I don't know where Henry Jr. and Malinda Emeline CAIN KILLMAN are, either, for 1880.
1900 Cumberland Co., KY ED #46, Sheet #2B, Cary District:
33-33
KILMAN, Thomas Head W M 1862 38 Wd. KY KY KY Farmer can read, write and speak English, owns farm
KILMAN, Ferby Visitor, W F1830 70 Wd. 8 children, 8 living KY KY KY Day Labor

KILMAN, Onzlo Head W M April 1865 65 M married 10 years, no children KY KY KY Farmer rents
KILMAN, Emiline Wife W F April 1865 35 M KY
Well, you *did* ask if I knew more about Henry KILLMAN
Now, on to CAPPS...
I do have some CAPPS data in a GEDCOM someone sent me.Andrew B. CAPPS m. 4-4-1873 Nancy Ann CAPPS.This must be the same Andy Bennett and Nancy that you reference. Also have a Benny CAPPS m. Nancy Ann CAPPS, son Jim Eli CAPPS b. 3-5-1886.Maybe these are the same couple?Doesn't appear to be much on CAPPS prior to that time frame. If any of this is of interest, let me know, and I'll send it to you.I think it's all more recent generations, so you likely have it, but I'll be happy to send it if you think there's a nugget you might not have.
Looking foward to continuing our correspondence!!
Mary
