Hi Cheri,
It's nice to hear from you.I don't have a lot on Sebra Holcomb and I have not done any research on her.All the information I have was sent to me by someone else.
I don't have the date of her birth or death.I am told that she was the daughter of Edmund and Sally (probably Sarah) (Cardell) Holcomb.I don't have any dates on either of them.
I show Frederick F. Cain and Sebra to have had five children:
Russell H. Cain, b. in NY in 1826.
Lorenzo F. Cain, b. 02 Jun 1827 and died 04 Nov 1896, age 69, in Hogarty, Marathon Co., WI.Lorenzo moved to Wisconsin in the 1860s.
Could you fill me in on his family and descendants?
Charles H. Cain, b. 1830.
Edward/Edmund Cain, b. 1832
Frederick F. Cain, Jr., b. 06 Nov 1840 in Chemung Co., NY and died 20 Aug 1920, age 79, in Somerset Twp., Hillsdale Co., MI.He was a farmer.Fred married (1) Julia E. Conley, 20 Feb 1867 in MI.They had 3 children. He married (2)Unknown.They had about 5 children.Fred married (3) Sarah Ophelia Mulliken, 17 Feb 1883 in Somerset Center, Hillsdale Co., MI.They were parents of 5 children.Sarah lived to be 92.Sarah's 1st husband was Reuben D. Bowen, a Civil War veteran who died in a post-war Fourth of July celebration from burns he received when a cannon he was lighting exploded.
Do you have any more info on this family?I just realized that I only have information on the boys in this family...were there any girls? There is a pretty big gap in ages between Edward (b. 1832) and Frederick (b. 1840).Were there any sisters?
Sincerely,
Terri Mulliken Allen
