Hello Julie, thank you very much for the additional details, every little bit helps and with that in mind, I am happy to share the teeny bit that I have on potentially your Dolivers... it is very scant... but this is what I have:
John Doliver (sorry no details at all) :(
married 24 Oct 1793 (sorry don't know where)
Desire Cahoon (b. 2 Feb. 1779, Liverpool, Queens Co., NS; died 28 Jan 1802, sorry don't know where.)
Desire was the daughter of William Jr. and Dorcas "Tabitha?" (nee Smith)Cahoon.
Dorcas was the daughter of Stephen and Mehitable (nee ?) Smith and I regretfully have no dates to offer, on the Smiths, except that Dorcas & William married 10 Nov 1774, in Liverpool and I have him as born in Liverpool, son of William and Elizabeth (nee Gallop) and I do have dates on the Cahoon side, if you are interested?
Back to John Doliver, he and Desire had daughter, Desiah Park Dean Doliver, though I do not have a birth date for her, nor any other details.
You surely have this already, and more, but I appreciated your sharing and felt compelled to do likewise with the one little scrape that I had, for surname Doliver.
Their daughter would have been my third cousin, four times removed... so of course, I never knew her.
I do find the connection to Stephen Smith interesting as I have often wondered where the name Stephen, originated, in my Cahoon line... I know when it was first used, but not why... perhaps the Smiths are the key... :)
Feel free to email me, anytime.
