Hi John, Yes, I think you are probably related to my husband. He is the Cahoon descendant. Reynold's Cahoon was born on April 30, 1790 Cambridge,Washington County, New York. He is a very famous Mormon. He was a personal assistant to Joseph Smith (one of the two big Mormon leaders). He was also Joseph Smith's body guard. He was also an overseer for many, many of the beautiful buildings that the Mormon's built.
If you type his name into a search engine (like Google) you will pull up a world of information on him. Mormon's keep great records.
Reynolds Cahoon had three wives (Mormon's used to do that).
Reynolds married Thirza Stiles on December 11, 1810. Their children are William F., Leroni Eliza, Pulaski, Daniel, Andrew and Julia. (This is your g.g.grandmother).
Reynolds married Lucina Johnson Roberts in 1842(Lucina was the widow of Peter Henry Johnson. Reynolds Cahoon is her second husband). (This is my husband's g.g.grandmother).
Reynolds married Mary Hildrath on January 16, 1846. I don't think they had children, but I could be wrong.
Nice to meet you cousin! bj
P.S. You can reach me at email@example.com if you would like me to put you in touch with the rest of the family, or if you have any questions. I have more information and some photographs. I know my husband's Uncle Zane would love to talk you.
