Thank you, Ralph, for responding and for your helpful information.
I have tried locating Patrick thru the Catholic churches in the area and with the cemetery records where he is supposed to be buried with no luck. My next attempt is to go to the Conn. State Library on our next trip to Conn. I have a friend in Hartford who knows quite a bit about genealogy research and she has offered to help track him down.
I will let you know if I have any success.
