While at the library copying obits for someone, I managed to get a copy of the following obit. I thought I would post it in case it is helpful to someone.

CHARLES E. CAHILL
Charles E. Cahill, of 251 Fayette street, a life-long resident of this city, died this morning at the Delaney hospital. Born in Lowell, the son of the late John and the late Mary (Riley) Cahill, he always made his home here. For 30 years he was an employee of the Lowell street department and was retired about a year ago. He was a member of the Lowell Municipal Employees union and a member of Lowell lodge, 618, Loyal Order of Moose. He leaves his wife, Mary Ellen (Marshall) Cahill; one step-son, James E. Regan, and several nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Meehan & Kirwin funeral home, 228 Worthen street. Funeral notice later.
