Dear Cahill genforum:
I am trying to find a living relative of Thomas F. Cahill, born April 23, 1888, County Kerry Ireland; he immigrated to the US--San Francisco area. He registered for the draft for WWI, entered the service, and was killed in 1918 and is buried in Flanders Field American Cemetery, Belgium.
Thomas a brothers, Patrick William and David, might have been David T. He had sisters Katie & Nellie in Chicago, IL.
The information I seed will be used in a book honoring those Americans who are interred in Flanders Field Cemetery, Belgium.
I have learned that Patrick William Cahill, bro. to Thomas, had a daughter named Kathleen Marie Cahill, b. abt. 1920. She married in 1946, to Everett Joseph Carter, in Oakland CA.
Any help/information concerning this family would be greatly appreciated and, as I said, will be forwarded on to BElgium, to Patrick Lernout who is compiling the book to honor our fallen heroes in Flanders.
thanks,
patty
