In doing other research on Jethro Billings, I happened upon Barney Cahall in the 1860 census of Monroe County, AL, page 930, family #1252. He states that he is 85 and was born in VA. Living with him are members of the W. L. Willis family, all born in GA, and Ellanor Patterson, 54 y.o. and born in SC. Jethro Billings, living next door had married Ruth Patterson in Wilkinson County, GA. If you have other ties to either the Billings or Patterson families, I would appreciate whatever info you have. Hope this info leads you to other ancestors.
