I am interested in exchanging information on the ancestors and descendants of Peter Cahall, born between 1770 & 1775 in VA. He was married on Dec. 25, 1795 in Pittsylvania Co., VA to Catherine E. Robertson. I believe that Catherine was the daughter of James Robertson. I believe that Peter and Catherine had the following children. Catherine Ann, born 1796, married William Daniel on November 29, 1831; Mary Cahall, born Sept. 2, 1798, married Grief Stewart on Sept. 23, 1816 in Pittsylvania Co., VA; Barney Cahall, born 1800, married Eleanor Hall on Oct. 26, 1821 in Pittsylvania Co., VA; John Cahall, born 1803, married Rachel Daniel on NOv. 29, 1831 in Rockingham Co., NC; James Cahall, born about 1805; Kitturah Cahall, born 1806, married William D. Archer March 4, 1825 in Pittsylvania Co., VA; Nancy Cahall, born 1806, Married Thomas C. Archer in Pittsylvania Co., VA on March 4, 1825 and George A. Cahall, born 1800-1810, married Elizabeth Hunter May on May 15, 1828 in Rockingham Co., NC.
Some internet sources indicate that they also had children named Lucinda, Minerva, Peter P., Albert B. Martha and Ruth W. I can not confirm this at this time.

In the 1820 census of Pittsylvania Co., VA there is a Peter Cahall listed on page 50. The record contains the following:
2 males 16 - 18
4 males 16 - 26
1 male 45 and over
2 females under 10
3 females 10 - 16
1 female 45 and over
On the same page of this census record are the following families of interest. Mathew Daniel, Samuel Robertson, David Robertson, Elizabeth Oakes and Fanney Oaks.

In the 1830 census of Rockingham Co., NC there is a Peter Cahall listed on page 314. The record contains the following:
1 male 50 - 60
2 females 15 - 20
1 female 20 - 30
1 female 50 - 60
On the same page of this census record are the following families of interest. William C. Archer and Nathaniel Robertson.

Peter Cahal appears in the 1840 census of Lincoln Co., MO, Clark Township, Page 1. He is listed as between 60 and 70 years of age. No other persons are listed with him. However, on the same page there is a George Cahal listed. With George are the following:
2 males under 5 years - (birth between 1835 and 1840)
1 male 5-10 years - (birth between 1830 and 1835)
1 male 10-15 years - (birth between 1825 and 1830)
1 male 20-30 years - (birth between 1810 and 1820)
2 males 30-40 years - (birth between 1800 and 1810)
1 female 30-40 years - (birth between 1800and 1810)
1 female 60-70 years - (birth between 1770 and 1780)
