Leonard Cagle and his family came from Germany in 1732. There was more than one descendent of the original Leonard also named Leonard. There was at least one in GA and one in Perry Co., TN as well, however these younger Leonard Cagles were born in NC rather than Germany.

The sons of the original Leonard Cagle, 1684-ca 1754 were:
David, John, Henry, Charles, Leonard and George. David was born in Germany in 1728. At least one of the others may have been born there as well. It is thought that the others were born in PA.
