Cagles and Native American Ancestry

Hello. I was reading the past recent messages and am curious about a common conception among Cagle relatives: we were all told by grandparents, etc, that we have Native American blood but I have not seen any proof to date. I had mtDNA testing done, and results showed there was no Native American DNA. My ancestry is Leonhart Cagle to Karl Wilhelm Cagle to John Cagle to Henry Cagle to Joseph C. Cagle to Ida Nettie Cagle who was my great grandmother.
Does any one know if any of these Cagles married a Native American?
THanks, Kim Townsend Spangrude
