Thanks for your response. I think that you are referring to William Cage, Jr. His father Major William Cage died in 1811 in Sumner County, TN.

I'd appreciate any other info you have on this Cage family, please. I do believe that they are related to my Bush family in some way!

Have you checked out the land records for a William Cage with son William and daughter Peggy in Prince William County, VA ca 1745????? They leased land froma Philemon Waters. THis Waters family ended up in Newberry County, SC. A Col. Philemon Waters served in the Revolution, as did Major William Cage.

Any info you might have to share will be greatly appreciated!! Thank
