i found info that William Cage of Athens Ohio, was imprisoned at Joliet State Prison in Illionois. He died in prison of TB after 1880. i also found out he worked as a shoe repairman.
but, my question i have not been able to find, is why he was in prison. anyone know the story?
He was my husbands great great uncle. thanks.
