Asking folks about things THAT far back usually brings little or NO results
I have found it very difficult to get very far back in time
Too few or too confusing records
Memories gone bad..

I'm just an armchair researcher now and I depend(unfortunately) on the WEB
I would SCOUR the HOLMAN FAmily Forum and the counties they lived in and see whether anyone is also looking for YOUR branch
I know my daddy lived next door to a HOLMAN family MANY MANY years ago in western Texas
He mentione them often and talked about how nice they were
I think the father was a BLACKSMITH
Check with folks who were your people's IN LAWS
Sometimes they have done family trees and you all MIGHT be included...
IF I think of something I will let you know
