I have recently managed to find Mary Ellen Cage's death record. Her father's name is given as Wm. Cage, born in PA & mother's name as -- Hogan, born in Ireland. I think the mother's maiden name is actually Hagan.
I figure that this William Cage is the one in Whiteley Twp., Greene Co. in the 1840 Census. I think he's also the one who married Phoebe Mendenhall Stafford in Dayton, OH.
They were living in Lee Co, IA in 1850 & Shelby Co., IN in 1860.
Does anybody know anything more about this William and his first wife?
