Bernard/Bryan Brady b. abt 1833 in Ireland-d1893 in PA m Bridget Caffrey abt. 1853/54. Bridget Caffrey b. abt. 1830 in Ireland-d.1898in PA. Bernard and Bridget's 1st child James b. Jan 23, 1855 in Jersey City, NJ. they lived on S. 8th st at the time according to baptizmal records for James. Bridget had a brother James who was listed in Bryan's obit as brother in law...
They later moved to Luzerne Co. PA and had 3 more sons Peter, Water and John. I found them in the 1860 census. In this census there is also an Ann Brady living with them: she is 60 years old and I believe is Bernard's mother (no proof).
James the eldest son m. Ann Lynch b.1868 in PA daughter of Thomas Lynch and Ann Jordan both b.in Ireland.
James and Ann had 8 children:

Walter b..Jan. 1, 1894-d, Aug 23, 1967 in Ashely PA m, Martha Leonard He worked for JNCRR
Mary b. Oct 1895m Neal Gallagher abt 1927. As of the 1930 census they had the following children Mary b. 1937 and Neal Jr b. 1929. As of Aug 1941 known to be living in Glen Falls, NY.
Peter b. Jan 1898 As of 1939 known to be living in Buffalo NY
John b. Jan 5, 1900
James b. 1905
Anna b. 1908 m. Doyle Parker As of 1941 was living in Bloomsburg not sure the state.
Thomas b. April 2, 1902 in Ashely PA-d Aug 5, 1941In Luzerne Co. PA m.Jan 11, 1924 Leona Smith b. June 13, 1908 Wilkes Barrre PA-d. June24, 1969 in Binghamton, NY
They had 4 children all in Luzerne Co. PA
1.Thomas Jr. b. 1924/25
2.James Sr b. March 2, 1934-d. May 18, 2000 in Binghanton NY
He was married 3 times and had 4 more children out of wedlock
3.Shirley b. 1936-d. Dec 17, 1983 in Binghamton NY
4.George Sr. b. Nov 5, 1941-d. 2003 in Binghamton NY
Thomas' son James was my father after his fathers death Leona took the children to Binghamton NY and the family lost contact with the rest of the Brady's of Luzerne Co.
