I am one of five children of Francis X. Caffrey. Born 11/21/1918 and died 10/23/1990. I am looking for anyone who may have served in the Army with my father. He fought in the Pacific and was wounded at during the battle of Leyte Gulf which ended his combat duty. He was a First Leiutenant.
He was interviewed by WOR radio regarding the battle and I am looking for a copy of that record. Our copy was destroyed in a flood.
My dad was from Newark, NJ. He waorked for Prudential and was transferred to Chicago in 1954. So we were all raised in Chicago so we lost track of things here in NJ.
I now live in Fair Haven, NJ and I am trying to track this record down. Can anyone help?
