Probably not who you are looking for, but here's what I've got. My ggf was named John Caffrey (as was my gf, and dad). We do not know when he was born or married but we do know that in 1914, he and Clara Herman (Caffrey) had a child, my gf, John Joseph Caffrey, in Newark, NJ. Could this be the John Caffrey you mentioned?
