Two of his sons, John and Charles, Jr. also received grants and lived in this area. John Caffery (various spellings) married Elizabeth Candler (sometime before 1758) and they had several children. John's will of 1790 names some of the children, but not John, Jr. who had already moved west. He married Mary Donelson (sister of Rachel who would become Mrs. Andrew Jackson). Charles Caffery, Jr. also stayed in the Lynchburg, VA area. He had several daughters who married in the area.
