Caffey Inlet
Having read about the exchange in this forum about the subject, I searched on Google for it last night. There were several items about it.The place name is still used locally though the inlet was closed by nature a few decades back.A Coastguard Lifesaving Station building is still in use, as a restaurant and bar.It is part of a resort complex, of which there is a good colored photograph. The community is Duck, on the Outer Banks about thirty miles south of the North Carolina/Virginia border.
I am descended from Michael Caffey and Mary Hooper - John Caffey b.1752 - John Caffey b. 1786 - Benjamin Franklin
